Garden Rooms

A proper room at the bottom of the garden — insulated, wired, yours.

Cedar-clad garden room with full-height corner glazing in a landscaped garden

A garden room done properly is not a shed with sockets. It's a fully insulated, structurally engineered building — warm in January, cool in July, and quiet enough to take a call in while it rains.

We build from the ground up: foundations, engineered timber frame, full insulation, electrics, heating and data, clad in cedar or composite and glazed with aluminium bifolds or sliders. Most fit within permitted development, and we'll confirm that before a spade goes in.

What's included

Everything the job needs. Nothing it doesn't.

01

Year-round build quality

Insulated floor, walls and roof to habitable standards — not a summer house that retires in October.

02

Power, data & heating

Armoured supply from the house, sockets, lighting circuits, hardwired internet and efficient electric heating.

03

Cedar & composite cladding

Slatted western red cedar, thermowood or low-maintenance composite, detailed to weather evenly.

04

Full-height glazing

Aluminium bifolds, sliders and fixed picture windows, double-glazed and security-rated.

The process

From first visit to final coat.

  1. Site visit & design

We assess access, levels and orientation, then design the room around how you'll use it — and check planning position.

  2. Groundworks

Ground screws or a concrete base, depending on the site — engineered for the building, not guessed.

  3. Frame & envelope

Timber frame up, insulated, membraned, clad and glazed — weathertight typically within two weeks.

  4. Fit-out & handover

Electrics, flooring, decoration and trims, then a full walkthrough and aftercare pack.

Before you ask

Questions, answered straight.

Anything else on your mind? Call us — you'll speak to a joiner, not a call centre.

Usually not. Most garden rooms fall under permitted development if they're single-storey, under 2.5m high within 2m of a boundary, and not used as self-contained accommodation. We confirm your specific position before any work starts.

Three to five weeks on site for most rooms, depending on size and groundworks. The garden stays usable for most of it.

Yes — that's the point. Floors, walls and roof are insulated to habitable standards and heating is sized to the room, so it performs like any other room of the house.
